The Iphone 4 and 4S are the latest iteration of the popular iPhone line of smartphones that were first introduced in 2007. It heralded a new revolution the smartphones by maximizing the user feel. The iPhone series does support the MP4 audio and video files; however, it does not support any DVD format which is incompatible. So how to play the MP4 files? The best way is to
Convert the DVD format to any compatible and acceptable format, like MP4, to the iPhone series of smart-phones. There are several converter available online, which can do the conversion job for you. The Apple’s own software, the iTunes, also has this capability to convert the DVD or any kind of video files to MP4 format, which can then be played on the iPhone 4 and the 4S. You can also use free software, such as the iSquint, to do the same job for you.
To do the conversion, you need to follow the following steps :
- First of all check that how much memory space you got on your iPhone 4 and the 4S. Good DVD format may take up to 4 GB in size. However, the volume size shrinks after conversion to any other file format; let’s say MP3 or the MP4.
- Now access the video or the audio files that need to be converted, so that it can be later played on your iPhone 4 and the 4S. Copy them to your system via the optical media and store them to a destination folder for easy access later.
- Now open the iTunes software program on your computer. Import all the files that have to be converted, and drag them to the library. You can multiple files by selecting CTRL+ Clicking the no of files.
- Now, from the top menu select the advanced option and then click on the “Create iPhone or iPod” option. A dialog box with the item “Converting” will appear on the screen.
- Now wait until the Conversion process is completed and the dialog box completely disappears. The iTunes will save these files to a custom folder or a default folder. The iTunes will save two versions: the converted one and the original. The Converted files will be saved in the MPEG-4 Audio and Video files.
- Now you can run these files on your favorite iPhone and the iPhone 4S and enjoy watching your favorite video and audio files.
