Along with the Google Chrome for Mac and Linux versions Google also announced the availability of extensions in beta,If you are running a beta version of Google Chrome you can install extensions now.
The 340+ extensions are available for both Windows and Linux versions
Extensions are as easy to create as web pages, easy to install, and each extension runs in its own process to avoid crashing or significantly slowing down the browser.
Visit Chrome Extensions Gallery page to view the list of extensions available for the fastest browser.
Authors bio is coming up shortly.
With the extensions being supported in Google Chrome now, it is likely to gain more market share as a browser. The charm of using Firefox (due to a large number of add-ons) will now reduce and Google Chrome will definitely gain in popularity since it already has the speed advantage.
