Google launched a new Android application called “Google Shopper,” that lets you find product information quickly by using your phone’s camera. It can recognize cover art of books, CDs, DVDs, and video games, along with most barcodes. You can also speak “name of the product” you’re looking for, and to make smart decisions.
Once you find a cool product, you can check out prices from other retailers. In addition, there are options for saving a product to favorites (star) and/or sharing it with friends. Moreover, you can browse through history of all the products you’ve found in the past, even when you’re out of signal.
Enough said, here’s a short video demonstrating Google Shopper in action.
